Our Philosophy on food is this....
Food should be fun, healthy & something you look forward to!!
Southampton Meat Market has been making food fun since 1998.
We are your LOCAL butcher shop with a bit of Gourmet Flair!!
By sourcing our products from LOCAL producers we can know the farmers philosophy as well. The farmers we deal with raise their animals in a humane and natural environment. Their business, like ours is food!!
We sell BRUCE COUNTY BEEF that is dry aged for 21+ days for increased natural flavour and tenderness. Our Poultry and Pork (like our beef) is hormone free and grain fed.
Happy animals make for happy meals!!
TAKE A BITE ON THE WILD SIDE with our selection of exotic meats.
They include
Our BURGERS are eclectic too with Beef, Elk,
SAUSAGE is another of our passions... that list too is an unusual one...
Try lamb, turkey, venison, smoked Bison, Apple Farmers, Elk, Farmers & Cajun sausage!!!
If we’d been savvy enough we would have written the 100 MILE DIET because a local diet has been our goal since our opening in 1998.

The GOURMET flair can be found in our collage of sauces and seasonings. We source local artisans as well as a wide scope of elegant flavours to give you a hand in the kitchen.
The Southampton Meat Market CHEESE selection includes 35-40 cheeses chosen from some of the finest local product (i.e. 9 year old cheddar) as well as unusual imports (i.e. Irish Cheddar with Guinness, Beemster & Riopelle).
Order ahead for Party Platters to simplify your next event. We create trays including Cheese, Deli, Fruit & Veggie (samples of which can be seen on our web site).
If it’s B.B.Q. you have in mind we cut all our fresh meats to order so you can satisfy every one of your guests.
The Southampton Meat Market has plenty of recipes and tips to lend a hand in growing your meal time repertoire.
MAKE MEAL TIME FUN!! Take a bite on the wildside! Come in today and EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!! Just ask Sue
A recipe is merely words on paper; a guideline, a starting point from which to improvise. It cannot pretend to replace the practiced hand and telling glance of a watchful cook. For that reason feel free to stir your own ideas into any dish. When you cook it once, it becomes yours, so personalize it a bit. Add more of an ingredient you like or less of something you don't like. Try substituting one ingredient for another. Remember words have no flavour, you have to add your own!
an imagination has got no substitute
